Lost Coast OG, is said online to be a cross of Chemdog 4, Lemon Thai, and Pakistani. Also said to be earthy and citrusy, I would label it more of a fuel aroma than citrus. I’ve never picked up on citrus odors from this strain. Humboldt Seed Organization’s Lost Coast OG definitely has a cerebral high that is relaxing, elevates the mood, and gets you in those deep stoner conversations.”

Grow

When it comes to growing an OG strain I usually don’t expect much of a yield, but I always look forward to the amazing quality she produces. Well the Lost Coast OG from Humboldt Seed Organization was the exception to that stereotype, as she’s proven time and time again that she can pack on the weight while keeping a bit of the classic OG Kush quality. The internodes stack like stairs, producing some really nice colas if pruned (or lollipopped) correctly. The Lost Coast OG is an 8-week strain, I’d definitely suggest letting it go a solid 60 days to get the best terpene production.

Smoke

OG Kush is a legendary strain with many variations/phenotypes. I’ve had OG that put me on my ass, then I’ve had what I consider to be “OG”. True OG is thought to be a cross of some sort of Hindu/Afghan/Packistani Kush and Chemdog. Lost Coast OG, is said online to be a cross of Chemdog 4, Lemon Thai, and Pakistani. Also said to be earthy and citrusy, I would label it more of a fuel aroma than citrus. I’ve never picked up on citrus odors from this strain. Humboldt Seed Organization’s Lost Coast OG definitely has a cerebral high that is relaxing, elevates the mood, and gets you in those deep stoner conversations. During an early morning wake and bake session, I felt an immediate cerebral high after exhaling, followed by an overall sense of well being. I would also add that it has a mellow body buzz. The flavor is great, as described by online but not quite as pungent as other OG strains that I’ve come across.

I would also add that it has a mellow body buzz. This strain has good flavor. The earthiness and fuel flavor definitely bring something nice and unique to the table but it lacks the sharp smell and taste that I’ve come to expect from an OG. Which is honestly a bit disappointing… For true OG lovers, when compared side by side to Skywalker OG, Tahoe OG, Fire OG, Tangerine OG, etc. the Lost Coast OG by Humboldt Seed Organization does fall a bit short. But with that being said this still is, in fact, a very solid strain. I do recommend this strain but if you’re searching for a top line OG Kush, this might leave you feeling a bit disappointed. It’s been a little too hybridized to still bear the title of OG.
